The legendary broadcaster spent 45 minutes talking about the impact of the Kennedy presidency, and his death, on American life. He shared his thoughts on America’s culture, democracy and future. MPR’s Matt Sepic produced this documentary with the assistance of the late Jean Shepherd’s biographer, Eugene Bergmann.
Jean Shepherd: Jean Shepherd spent 22 years on WOR radio in the 1950’s and 1960’s, doing a daily unscripted show. For forty-five minutes, and in the early years, for many hours overnight. He died in 1999. He is also wrote and narrated the 1983 film, “The Christmas Story.”
