Find a Taps Bugler for Funerals or other ceremonies

At Baltimore National Cemetery Oct 2010

Bugle calls can be an important part of many special events. Whether sounding a call for attention or announcement, sounding To The Color at a patriotic ceremony, or performing Taps at a funeral or memorial service, I can provide this service to you or help you to find a bugler in your area. I have performed at Memorial Day and Veterans Day services in the Baltimore/Washington area, at many funerals and church services and at many Civil War related events. I sound Taps in a military uniform, Civil War uniform or dark suit, to fit the occasion.

In many cases, you can find a bugler at BUGLES ACROSS AMERICA. You can also find a list of BAA STATE DIRECTORS and contact the closest one. If you contact Bugles Across America and do not get a response within a day or so contact Tom Day at (708)-484-9029 or by EMAIL

On March 24th 2012, (2:00 pm) our family will be having a memorial at Battleship Cove. Our beloved Uncle, Charles R Coyte, served on the Sub- 298, Lionfish during World War II. It is docked in Fall River, Massachusetts and a flag will be put at half mast then given to his partner. He would have been 95 on this day and we want to celebrate his life so have chosen his birthday to remember and honor him. We would love to have Taps played for him rather than a CD. If any professional in the area could do this please call Bernie or Bob at 203-335-0411 or e-mail us at beesatseaside@optimum.net.

Every 4th of September for the last 30 years, we celebrate the Day of the Constitutional Cuban Armed Forces in Miami, Florida. This is a charitable event that during which we honor deceased members of the armed forces. During the event, we ask the audience for a minute of silence and play Taps using a CD. It will make a marked difference if the playing of Taps could be done with a professional bugler that would make himself available and donate his time and expertise.
    Thanks.
